Unspoken (a poem)

All these words left
Unspoken
This heart is ever left
Unbroken
We never walk away from
It all
Never are we truly detached
From anyone
And in the end you really
Can’t deny
The emotions you’ve stored
So deep inside of your
Beating heart
You can easily recall
The moment
When your dream abruptly turned into
A nightmare
And you can still smile when you
Remember
When your dreams were
Renewed
You thought that now you could
Speak
Say what you wanted so
Freely
Without any hesitant reservations
But even now
Your words get left
Unspoken
No heart really shall remain forever
Unbroken
Eyes will fill with tears of
Hurt
So much pain searing your heart
Empty
And longing to hold him
Close
You realize that you have to make
A choice
You must decide if you want him as a
Friend
Or if you want him
Not at all
Either way
The words you truly need to
Say
Will always remain
Unspoken
But better that than your heart being
Broken
