Worth The Pain (a poem)

You turned around

Now I could remember

Now I can’t forget

The way you looked

The first time that I

Really saw you

Everything that transpired

Meant nothing

Everything that came after

Meant the world

To me

But did it mean anything

To you?

I fell so hard

And I bled for you

You’re the only one

Worth the pain

No one else

Could ever make me

Feel the same

If you were to ask me

Why that is

I couldn’t respond

How I feel transcends beyond

Simple words

But just know that

You’re the only one

Whom I may ever love

You’re the only one in the world

Worth the pain
