Cinderella (a poem)

Please don’t be
What your words sang to me
A waste of
All my love & tears
My angel
That’s just what I fear
Because love like this
It’s to pure to be wasted
Tossed aside like
Yesterday’s clothes
A fashion statement
That isn’t “in” anymore
Somehow you
You unearthly thing
You captured me
You changed me
Don’t make me change back
Like Cinderella after midnight
